Burn and Dye

Currently, I'm working on a bracelet (for my boyfriend). I started out with an embroidered symbol that he picked out 

Then I added another color thread to give it more dimension

 

Now we get to the fun part.

I decided to dye the bracelet with kool-aid. I took two packets of cherry kool-aid and mixed them with some conditioner. Don't ask why I used conditioner... It was just sitting around.

With my dye made I splattered it onto the bracelet

It looks like blood!!! 

Now the next part I wasn't too smart about....

I thought I would iron it with my straightener. It turns out kool-aid burns. 

The end result is still kick-ass, but not what I anticipated...
