Patching up the Loose Ends

To be supportive of my boyfriend's dreams and aspirations, I have recently agreed to help out with the band wardrobe and merchandise.
My first priority is the band wordrobe. I've decided to make denim patches to sew onto the guy's skinny jeans. Not only does this help to give it a kickass punk-rock d.i.y. appeal, but it also helps to cover up holes where certain things *cough cough* could potentially fall out.

These are the first few patches I've made for the band. The denim I used are the last few scraps of material left from a pair of jeans I cut up in 7th grade. To make the screen-print anarchy symbol I used an embroidery hoop, some cardboard and cheesecloth.
To screen print all you need to do is cut out your stencil from the cardboard, put cheesecloth over it and under the stencil then firmly secure the cheesecloth in the embroidery hoop.
This is a simple project that can easily give old material a whole new look quickly and easily.
